Indiana: House Committee to Vote on Pro-Gun Legislation

On Wednesday, January 17, House Bill 1048 was heard in the House Public Policy Committee.  Sponsored by state Representative Jim Lucas (R-69), HB 1048 aims to extend the current “Parking Lot” statute to include the grounds of a school.  HB 1048 would allow someone to keep a legally owned firearm locked away and out of sight in their vehicle on school property.  HB 1048 is likely to be voted on in the House Public Policy Committee as early as next Wednesday, January 22.

It is important that you call AND email members of the House Public Policy Committee TODAY and politely urge them to support HB 1048.
